CNTHA Meeting - 2009-11-06
CNTHA and CANDIB volunteers met to bid farewell to Mike Saker, Chair of CNTHA for the past 14 years. The group thanked him for his leadership and perseverance and for being able to bring some additional expertise to the Association as it worked to produce valuable information for archiving by DND's Directorate of History & Heritage.
At this meeting, it was decided that Pat Barnhouse would become Chair of CNTHA while Tony Thatcher would assume the duties of Executive Director. Also, it was decided that several additional working groups would be formed with CANDIB becoming a Working Group along with one for Combat Systems and ones likely to form for Marine Systems, Naval Architecture and Personnel. The intention is to research developments in the areas denoted by the working groups.
